A family collection

Maya Vanam Resorts

Small stays in wild places. A handful of cabins at a time, each one shaped by the land it sits on.

Our story

A name made from family

Maya
enchantment
Vanam
forest

Maya Vanam began as a family idea. The name is made from the initials of the people it was built for, and read together it means an enchanted forest.

We are building a small collection of retreats in the hills and forests of South India. Each place keeps to a few cabins, so it stays quiet and the landscape stays the main thing you notice.

Every address has its own name and its own character. Over time we want them to grow into working farm stays, where guests can see how the land is looked after and eat what it grows.

What they share

Every Maya Vanam place

Different landscapes, the same few rules.

Small by design

A handful of cabins, set apart from each other. No lobby, no crowd, no schedule you have to keep.

Named for the land

Each place and each cabin takes its name from local language and landscape, so it belongs where it stands.

Growing slowly

We open one place at a time and look after it properly, with farm stays as the long-term plan.
